The Centre for Arab and Muslim Media Research (CAMMRO) is an independent international scholarly research institution based in London and has associates in the UK and beyond. It brings together experts from various parts of the world to engage and develop strands of research on Arab and Muslim media and culture.
CAMMRO aims to achieve the following:
- Develop and conduct research projects about media and culture in the Arab and Muslim world.
- Train and nurture individuals and groups with tools and vision to develop skills for advanced communication analysis, predicting futuristic scenarios, and conducting academic research.
- Provide high-standard research and consultancy services about media culture and politics in the Arab and Muslim world to individuals, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organisations.
- Establish a network of communication scientists and media experts to exchange ideas and experiences in the field and advance research about Arab and Muslim media.
The centre aims to achieve this through organising workshops, conferences, round-tables, also through publishing books, reports and articles.
